Opening the top-right bulk results tray unmounts ScannerScreen. Its local useState(false) previously disabled bulk mode when the user returned. The explicit mode now lives on the existing scan navigation route instead. The scanner reads that route and the toggle replaces it without growing the stack or keeping the camera mounted behind the summary.
The chosen enabled/disabled state survives toolbar and Android hardware back. Queue contents, reset/commit behavior, ownership writes and backend calls are unchanged. No mode is inferred from queue size, and no device-persistent preference is introduced. A new app session still starts in normal scan mode.
Regression evidence: a wiring test first failed on the local state initializer, then passed after the route-owned implementation. Navigation tests cover both back actions, both toggle states and unchanged stack size. Lint, type checking and all 2,492 tests passed (11 tests and two suites skipped). The Maestro tray-return flow was added but could not run because Maestro is not installed locally. Native verification awaits an updated app build.
The mobile and documentation PRs target staging. No automatic merge, backend deployment or personal APK build is part of this fix.
