The initial audit covered three PRs targeting staging:
- Backend #522: preserve cached USD conversions across UTC days, match generic sealed set codes independently of word order, recognize French sealed inflections/flags, allow base holos when reverse also exists, and batch twenty Cardmarket grid lookups into one provider call.
- Mobile #770: follow a sealed background lookup to completion and apply display-only EUR valuation rounding.
- Mobile #771: release cancelled viewport requests so returning to a card can immediately retry; resolve abandoned queued groups without deleting newer request ownership.
Confirmed valuation policy
For graded and sealed products, average exact sales from the last 30 days. At five or more sales, remove exactly one minimum and one maximum. With no recent sale, retain the latest exact historical sale, including one six months old; the provider search supports up to three years. Display its actual sale date. This calculation policy was already implemented and remains unchanged.
EUR valuation labels use two decimals through EUR 1, one decimal above EUR 1 through EUR 10, and the nearest euro above EUR 10. Exactly EUR 1 uses two decimals because the supplied ranges leave that boundary unspecified. Calculations and storage keep precise amounts. Non-EUR formatting is unchanged.
Production evidence
Read cached CompSniper packets and performed one budget-reserved Cardmarket provider request for six exact Zénith Suprême products. All six had French Near Mint prices: Zarude 0.02, Calyrex/Sylveroy 0.70, Charizard/Dracaufeu V 5.90, VSTAR 11.90, Radiant/Radieux 15.00, Entei 0.40 EUR. These are source observations, not a promise of a blended valuation.
Nineteen of 160 catalogue rows in this set were wrongly rejected because the base printing was holo while reverse also existed. VSTAR/Radiant snapshots from October 8 were expired. The API already returned Dracaufeu V at 5.90 EUR; the client cancellation regression explains how a visible grid could still fail to retry a known price. A route integration reproduced five batches of four cards and now observes one batch of twenty.
The sealed catalogue name Me05.5 etb rejected titles with the code and ETB separated. Replaying recorded packets now accepts the explicitly French sealed sale at 208.69 EUR dated September 16, 2026, using historical fallback. Sleeves, booster boxes for individual booster markets, cases, Pokemon Center variants, opened products and wrong set codes remain excluded. Catalogue formats outside the existing supported list are not added by these fixes.
The Reptincel PCA 9 listing at 97.57 EUR explicitly says Japanese, so it must not enter a French quote. The cached exact French PSA 9 historical row is USD 127.94 from May 27, 2026; at the cached ECB rate of 1.1225 USD/EUR it produces 113.98 EUR. The reported 149 EUR sale was not found in the recorded provider results; its exact eBay URL is still needed to reconcile that discrepancy. No amount is hardcoded to match the screenshot.
Verification
All behavior changes were reproduced by focused failing tests before implementation. Backend API: typecheck including test JavaScript passed; 1,320 tests passed, 11 skipped. Mobile display branch: lint/typecheck passed; 290 suites and 2,788 tests passed, 11 skipped. Mobile retry branch: lint/typecheck passed; 290 suites and 2,785 tests passed, 11 skipped. Both mobile pre-push gates also passed.
API E2E was attempted and stopped after missing local database prerequisites and unavailable Japanese Tesseract data (upstream 404). Maestro is not installed. Native device verification is outstanding. No PR was merged, no release was built and no production deployment was performed. Existing unrelated account/auth work in the main checkouts was left untouched.
The paragraph above records the original audit, not the current repository state. On 2026-10-21 GitHub confirms backend #522 and mobile #770/#771 were merged into staging on 2026-10-20. This documentation reconciliation does not establish a new deployment or close the outstanding native-device/provider-data verification. The primary tracking links refer to backend #521/#522; the two mobile issues (#768/#769) and PRs remain recorded through the explicit companion links above.
