App PR: https://github.com/snag-tcg/poc-tcg-collector/pull/992
Android 8+ uses an adaptive icon with a full cream background and the approved transparent Snag wordmark. The 8% foreground inset accounts for the source's existing margins and keeps the mark inside the native safe zone. Android 7 uses a rounded fallback. This removes the tiny opaque square that Android previously wrapped inside a second icon container.
iOS uses the original opaque light/dark logos. Expo exports both at 1024x1024; iOS applies its own rounded mask. The source artwork is unchanged. No iOS build or TestFlight submission is included. Platform references: Apple app icons and Android adaptive icons.
Regression tests failed on the previous manifest and iOS icon configuration, then passed with the new native resources. An export through the installed Expo iOS icon plugin produced two opaque 1024px assets, verified locally. Android release build/install succeeded; the actual launcher shows the larger Snag mark without the nested square. Existing app data and beta masking are preserved.
Validation on the final app PR: lint, typecheck and 3340 tests passed (11 skipped). The PR also restores react-native-svg 15.12.1, required by Expo SDK 54, after staging's 15.16.0 upgrade failed the existing toolchain compatibility test. Other tooling updates and all test assertions remain intact. The normal pre-push checks passed without a bypass. Maestro is not installed; launcher verification was performed with ADB and a screenshot. The iOS mask has not been verified on an iPhone here.
